2015- Christmas- Lobby

This christmas rangoli is totally using poster colours...Thanks to a good friend of mine who suggested this...The beauty of poster colours is that it doesn't stain the floor and can be cleaned with wet cloth...

                                            Couple of my friends helped me in clouring.....

   

           One of my good friends helped me in colouring the angel's wings....They look lovely...

                                                      I think i missed  the snow-man...

2015- Diwali

           Thanks to the little girls in our building and some of my friends who helped me....

                                                     Thanks for the tea to boost me up...

I started coulouring around the peacock with the intention of making it a nice round rangoli and then planned to decorate the outer circumference with some matching flowers and leaves...

but then found it very tedious, and one of my friends suggested that i taper the rangoli design to a diya shape.....She was a life saver...

If it was an already planned diya-design rangoli, i wouldn't have selected the orange colour...,  a nice red or maroon would have really brought out the diya well...
